Twister - Twister Reviews

Twister has been my favorite movie ever since i was 4. It has inspired me to be a tornado chaser. I've seen a lot of of other movie ,and nothing compares to it. It has comedy, romance, action ,and drama. The other movies don't have that. That's why i love twister.

Twister rocks! - Twister Reviews

Why is the average B-? It should be at least B+ average but w/e. This movie has special effects that were sensational and fantastic. The acting was great also. Wonderfully enjoyable, and entertaining movie.

Roller coaster ride! - Twister Reviews

This excellent film about tornado chasers (Helen Hunt, Bill Baxton) who fall in love again could have been just your standard, mediocre fare. But with these two actors, and a fine script, and absolutely flawless special FX plus great supporting players, a terrific soundtrack, and plenty of humor, too, this movie has been elevated to one of the best "disaster" films of all time. Throughout the picture, the tornadoes keep getting more intense, and bigger and meaner, like they have a life of their own, somehow even roaring like lions when they are on their way. I'd suggest that you add this one to your DVD library if you haven't already.

Amazing visuals drive this exciting summer flick - Twister Reviews

"Twister" holds probably some of the greatest visual effects of our time. Everything else in this movie is very good too. The director did a great job of holding everything in check. Helen Hunt shines in this movie too. I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good time, or an opportunity to test out that new Surround Sound System.

Twister summary - Twister Reviews

In this movie, I really like the music and action in this movies plus the actors who are in it. when I look at the sky the respect the wind song that plays at the end of the movie comes right into my head. The visual effects are awesome in the movie with the music that plays during the disaster part close to the end of the movie. Mostly I love the music from the soundtrack that I have like van halen, goo goo dolls, K.D. Lang, shania twain and both alex & eddie van halen. This is one of my most favorite movies ever.

I was sucked into the screen! - Twister Reviews

A thriller that tells all about what happens in life when a twister hits. It is a fun and ijnteresting film. When you watch the extroadinary special effects, it is almost like you are in the movie seeing that twister right before your eyes. It is superb and is very entertaining. If only the movie went on longer, I may have been ,more entertained.

Twister - Twister Reviews

Another weather movie. Is it better than Day After Tomorrow, yes, by a long shot! The story was not that strong. I got lost when I saw this for the first time. I saw it the second time and made a little more sense. I would say that this is my least favorite Bill Paxton movie I've ever seen. The visuals were kinda fake and un-real. The tornado just looked incredibly fake! Out of 5 stars, it's a 3.

Don't breathe. don't look back. - Twister Reviews

The very few times that I watched this film I really enjoyed the setting of it though the acting was not groundbreaking, but who gives a f*** about that. The final scene with Hunt and Paxton outrunning the tornado was very heartbeating yet exciting that it makes you want to be in the film yourself.

One of the best movies ever! - Twister Reviews

Twister is one of the best movies I've ever seen! I watch it almost every night and I can basically write the script to it because I know everything the actors say and do and I know everything that happens in order. I can watch the whole movie in my mind! The special effects of the tornadoes blew me away! It deserves way better reviews.

A twist of amazing scenes - Twister Reviews

This Movie Is FILLED With AMAZING Effects and terrific acting and a story that is very memorable Twister is an ENORMOUS Hit from the star director steven spielberg(E.T.)AND Jan De Bont

A wild ride - Twister Reviews

The film basically gets started fast and doesn't slow down for us to catch our breath. Unfortunately that means that the characters and acting aren't the best but yeah. Special effects for this film are amazing and everything looks real and possible. Of course so many tornadoes in such a timespan is impossible but it's the thought that counts. This is a great Saturday night movie to watch with anyone over 12.

Awesome! fantastic! whatever! - Twister Reviews

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Of course I love stormchasing and storms and tornados and all of that too! So I give Twister an A plus on everything! I also love Bill and Helen! Its awesome I suggest seeing it!

Where is helen hunt??? - Twister Reviews

so I can give her a titty-twister for this low-budget excuse of a movie! The effects were so stupid, so trashy, a flushing toilet would have been more convincing! That cow made me laugh so hard at how fake it was! If you want a more convincing movie, make your own with tonka toys.

Twister, please miss it. - Twister Reviews

A common action plot bad acting kill this movie and the visual cant save it Oscar winner Helen Hunt has made some good films. A list this dosnt appere in. Just skip this one.

The story was shallow, the special effects were ok - Twister Reviews

The movie was not too bad. There were too many scenes that the sky switched from bright to dark. The CG was fair, and the acting was above average. I would own this on DVD, if the cost goes down to $6.

Twister, high octain action! - Twister Reviews

From the driector of "Speed", and from the producers of "Jurassic park", comes another high action film. Twister, starring Helen Hunt, and Bill Paxton, tells the tale of a few run-of-the-mill storm chasers, trying to get their machine "Dorothy" to fly. By doing this, they will for the first time, have a profile of a twister, and will be able to predict them earlier, giving people more time to get to safety. During the movie, Bill meets his long rival, who has copied his design. Fighting for the best spot in the twister's path, they get in some crazy danger. This mvoie is great, you'll love the big F-5 finale, I give 4 thumbs up!

Hold on to your ass!! - Twister Reviews

There's no place like home - Twister Reviews

The movie Twister (1996) opens with Melissa, played by Jami Gertz, & Billy, played by Bill Paxton, driving down a peaceful country road toward Jo, played by Helen Hunt, & the supposedly signed divorce papers. Melissa & Billy have marriage on their minds, but Bill the ?Extreme? has a few other things as well lurking within. Bill?s inner turbulence shows on his face as clear as the turbulence of the tornadoes shows as they touch down one by one on the sleeping landscape. They build in intensity to an F-5, the mother of all storms. The tornadoes are both beautiful & destructive as they toss cars & cows around & blow houses down in a way that puts the Big, Bad Wolf to shame. Jo cannot help but watch them twist & twist their dance of doom even though she dances with death many times in the process. She blames herself for her father?s death, & she chases tornadoes for a living now, driven by demons from the past. The same drive that attracted Bill the ?Extreme? to her also tore them apart. Their relationship, like many others, was both beautiful & destructive like the twisters the storm chasers follow. One of the most awesome & spectacular scenes in this movie is the drive in theatre one. It shows true genius on the director?s part. First of all, the two sisters standing in the hallway in The Shining brings to mind the two sister twisters that formed on the water. Then, the gigantic twister makes its appearance at the drive in when Jack Nicholson is chopping the bathroom door in half with his axe. ?Here comes Johnny!? disappears in the ?suck zone? as the twister eats the scene as if it?s a handful of popcorn. A more perfect movie could not have been chosen for this scene. Although Twister would be classified as action, the real action with all its twists & turns lies in the interaction of the characters. Jo & Bill burn in the forefront. It is clear to the viewers & to Melissa as well that Jo & Bill still share something special. Melissa begins to feel left out almost immediately, & Bill?s attention slowly turns toward chasing the storms with Jo. As he rejoins the storm chasers, he loses touch with Melissa?s feelings. In the sister twisters scene, he is dancing around with Jo in celebration of being in the core while Melissa stands in the doorway of the truck in complete shell shock. He is temporarily oblivious to her understandable fear. Melissa sees that Billy has not killed Bill the ?Extreme? as he says at the lunch table at Meg?s house. Melissa sees that she does not really know whom she is engaged to. Bill the ?Extreme? lives on in full force. The twister team, affectionately called the ?storm chasers,? that Jo & Bill have assembled plays an important role in Twister?s success. Rabbit, played by Alan Ruck, made famous by Ferris Bueller?s Day Off; Dusty, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman; & the gang share genuine excitement that comes alive on the screen. The excitement is infectious, & the audience quickly becomes caught up in the thrill of the chase. Aunt Meg, played by Lois Smith, lends credibility to the supporting cast as well. Meg, the beloved Aunt of Jo, enthusiastically embraces Jo?s pursuit of her dream. She can see that ?it?s what [she] lives for.? Meg has great insight in Jo & Bill?s relationship as well. Meg recognizes that Bill didn?t travel all this way just to collect the divorce papers. ?Not so long ago. He?s here now.? It turns out that Bill the ?Extreme? is indeed here to stay. Ironically enough, even though Bill has been deemed the ?Extreme,? it is Jo that takes things to the limit. Her crazy effort to save Dorothy when a twister is bearing down on them leads to an intense scene in which the hidden twists & turns are revealed in a moment of truth. Underneath the darkening sky, Bill tells Jo, ?Look at what you?ve got in front of you?Me.? The raw emotion in his voice can be heard clearly over the radio, & it tells Melissa all she needs to know. She tells Bill, ?I know my way home? before she turns & walks away. Melissa?s yellow-bricked road is city streets & civilization. Bill?s yellow-bricked road is paved with debris underneath darkening skies. As long as Jo is by his side, he?s got all the light he needs to go on. Twister is a story of triumph?-triumph over the elements & triumphs of the heart in the face of turbulence. It is a love story that does not spout out cheese ball lines that leave your eyes rolling in your head. Twister lifts one?s spirit in a rare & beautiful way. It stays with you as you leave the darkened theatre & head for the light.

The best tornado movie (in my opinion) - Twister Reviews

Twister is basically a lot of storm chases, but there are a lot of things that are smaller that contribute to the film also. Even if it's mainly about chases, the scenes are still awesome! It's in my opinion, the best movie about weather out there. If you like movies about weather, then this is the movie for you.
